We’ve been informed by our friends over at Smarta that the application deadline for their O2 Smarta 100 Awards has been extended till 5PM September 19th, 2014.
The O2 Smarta 100 Awards celebrate innovation, disruption and engagement by UK small businesses, and have recognised 400 businesses since their inception including Naked Wines, Huddle, Funding Circle, Graze, Zoopla, Crowdcube and Superjam. With £10,000 on offer to the overall winner and £1,000 to each category winner the 2014 list is expected to the best yet.
Judges include Martin McCourt, ex CEO of Dyson; Smarta CEO and No.1 Bestselling author Shaa Wasmund; O2 Business Director Ben Dowd, Al Gosling, Founder of The Extreme Sports Company and Polly Gowers who founded last year’s overall winner Give As You Live.
The 2014 100 winning companies will be divided into 10 categories (listed below) to ensure the awards represent a true cross-section of UK small business.
The public will vote for the winner of each category, before the esteemed judging panel selects the overall winning ‘O2 Smarta 100 Business of the Year’.
