Now in it’s 3rd year, our friends at Collider are back and looking for fantastic marketing or advertising tech (madtech) startups to join them this year.
There’s £150k worth of equity up for grabs, but it’s not just the money that’s worth getting excited about! Collider also put on a great programme to help that money stretch even further, and then adds a not-so-secret ingredient, brands.
Partnered with some of the biggest and the best (not to name-drop by the likes of Unilever, Diageo, News UK, The National Lottery and BBC worldwide), senior execs commit time to meeting and mentoring the 10 chosen startups.
To put it bluntly, everything Collider does focusses on pushing startups in this space forward, be it the in-depth collaboration with brands or the fact that all their angel investors are leaders in the marketing and advertising industries.
What’s the catch or the trick to getting in? Be laser-focused on revenue.
This rule seems to be working and previous startups have signed over £1.1m in deals with brands.

Edit: As it was mentioned in discussions, it’s worth noting the terms of their investment programme:
Up to 10 teams will be offered £50K in investment for 11%, and then have to pay £10K in fees.
5 teams will then be offered an additional £100K for an additional 11%, and will then have to pay another £10K in fees.
So in reality the investment is £40K / £130K, although a valuation can be drawn against the higher numbers.
