Our original hive opened in May 2009 right in the heart of Beacon’s Main St in the artisan-renovated historic 1907 Telephone Building.
Our main communal room is a large, open, first-floor loft with exposed brick walls, maple floors, soaring ceilings, and nine large windows facing south, east and west. When the sun is shining it floods the space with natural light (which, studies show — surprise! — improves productivity, sleep and vitality).
Upstairs we have a handful of private resident studios, a full kitchen, and a light-filled meeting room.
Throughout we have a mix of places to work, meet, collaborate and socialize — shared and private workspaces and lounge areas, meeting space, desks and tables, sofas and armchairs.
Over the years we’ve drawn members from Beacon and surrounding towns — Newburgh, Fishkill, Cold Spring, Cornwall, Garrison, Wappingers Falls, Pawling, Poughkeepsie and beyond.
