More About this Collective

  • Space to Work (originally called CambridgeSpace) was founded by a group of local entrepreneurs who saw the need for a place where people can work, share ideas and learn from each other. Established in 2016 and originally hosted by Hundred Houses housing association in Chesterton, we’re now based at the Cambridge University Rugby Club on Grange Road. We’ve grown into a group of around fifty members with diverse careers and interests who support, inspire and encourage each other. Whether you’re a freelance writer, a social entrepreneur or running a tech start-up; at the peak of your career or starting out on a new one, all our members have something to contribute to our community.

We’re especially excited about the fusion of creative, social and tech enterprise that’s happening in Cambridge, and many of our members are active in these areas. We’re associated with over 2,400 Cambridge-based thinkers and innovators, and our supporter network includes the University of Cambridge, Anglia Ruskin University, the international THNK School of Creative Leadership and CamCreatives.

As a member you’ll benefit from having lovely people to work alongside, workshops and panel discussions run by members and guest speakers to improve your business skills, and community events for networking and socialising. If we sound like your cup of tea, book your free trial day today and see for yourself what we’re all about.
